About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The successful candidate will be working in a SEN school in York, supporting children aged 11-16 years with a wide range of learning difficulties, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children with learning difficulties in a classroom setting
  • Assisting with lesson planning and implementation
  • Providing individualized support to students with complex needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
