Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for maintaining maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities. The successful candidate will provide inspection, troubleshooting, facility maintenance, adjusting, and replacing electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to facility alarms and emergencies.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise within the sortation system and facility.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in engineering preferred.
  • Electrical experience is mandatory.
  • Automation experience is preferred.
  • Preferred programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, Motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
  • Clean UK Driving License.

Working Conditions:

This position entails a rotating shift of 8h x 5 days per week, totaling 40 hpw.
