Job Information

As a key member of our team, you'll be out and about across Northumberland, conducting daily patrols to monitor how well bus services are running. You'll gather important data on services, stations, and stops, such as ensuring that electronic displays are working and stations are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily patrols to monitor bus services and gather data on services, stations, and stops.
  • Interact with passengers, providing information on fares and routes, and assisting with wayfinding.
  • Help passengers with visible or hidden disabilities, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey.
  • Conduct regular passenger surveys and engage directly with bus users to gather feedback.
  • Actively promote public transport, sharing the benefits of bus travel and encouraging more people to hop on board.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in giving advice and counselling service users.
  • Experience in engaging effectively with others and building productive relationships.
  • Experience in organising and scheduling work or other resources.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle and have a full driving licence.
