Family Support Specialist

Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly skilled Family Support Worker to join their team. As an Outreach Family Support Worker, you will be responsible for undertaking early help assessments with families, creating support plans, and chairing team around the family meetings to review progress and identify additional areas of support.
The successful candidate will be attached to a school-based project, taking a holistic approach to addressing the needs of young people with the aim of improving their engagement in mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on 10 families in need of help
- Complete EHASH referrals and meet with families to discuss their concerns
- Work alongside social workers, Police, and effective multi-agency teams and health professionals using relational and strengths-based practices to deliver the right support to children, young people, and families
- Complete 'Door knocks' visiting family homes and schools checking on truancy referrals
