Gi Group Recruitment is currently looking to appoint a Caretaker for our industrial client in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The Caretaker plays a vital role in ensuring that all facilities are accessible, functional, and welcoming for all visitors.
The position may involve a limited amount of forklift operations (counterbalance) and gate monitoring duties as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and grounds by managing waste disposal and cleaning office spaces.
- Promote health and safety by ensuring corridors and emergency exits are free from obstructions, including spills and hazards identified during routine inspections.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods, documents, and parcels to designated areas.
- Oversee contractors performing work on the premises.
- Conduct regular welfare and restroom inspections.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a caretaking or similar role.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to perform basic cleaning tasks.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing situations.
- Organized and methodical work approach.
- Experience in a customer-oriented environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
