We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team in Specialist Palliative Care Services across Sunderland and South Tyneside. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver psychology services for patients and relatives accessing specialist palliative care services within our Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Provide direct psychological assessment and interventions within your competencies
- Contribute to service development and audits
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff and patients
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in a specialist palliative care setting. You will receive high-quality supervision from an experienced Psychologist within the team and have opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Requirements- Upper second-class honours degree or higher in Psychology
- Entitlement to Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
- Experience of working with people with mental health conditions
- Good communication and organisational skills
