Our client, a leader in distributed energy storage, is seeking a Director - Mechanical Systems Engineering to drive innovation and excellence in their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop integrated EV and power electronic cooling and heating systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead the generation and maintenance of system and component level DFMEAs, driving continuous improvement and quality.
  • Choose and specify materials and components required, creating detailed CAD drawings that meet the highest standards.
  • Work with suppliers to mature cost, manufacturability, and quality of engineering design, fostering strong partnerships and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • MEng degree in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering, with a strong foundation in design and development.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in automotive and with electric vehicles, with a proven track record of innovation and leadership.
  • Excellent SolidWorks skills, with the ability to create detailed CAD drawings and models.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical EV components, including CAN protocol, with a strong understanding of system integration.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools, analyzing test data, and correlating to CAE results, with a focus on optimizing system performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of GD&T, drawing, and assembly document creation, with a strong attention to detail and quality.
