About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing commercial leadership on a number of mixed-tenure developments in the North West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercial leadership and guidance to the commercial and site teams
  • Manage and optimize the profitability of contracts
  • Ensure compliance with commercial and company procedures through the Business Management System
  • Prepare and manage key and large risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts
  • Contribute to the management of life of site cost & revenue forecasts across multi-phase developments
  • Provide input and cost and value engineering advice throughout the design life of the scheme
  • Manage and undertake the personal development reviews of associated surveying resources, including training
  • Ensure a proactive approach to dispute avoidance
  • Ensure company health and safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the team
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working at a similar level within a construction organization
  • Demonstrable strong account management and commercial experience
  • Strong team player, with the entrepreneurial ability to operate and excel in a changing on-site environment
  • Well-developed analytical, oral and presentation / communication skills
  • Degree qualified preferable
  • Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS preferable
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of groundworks, roads and sewers
  • Training of and understanding of COINs
  • Training and understanding of 4p (viewpoint)
  • Management of Assistant Surveyor / Trainee Surveyor
