About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Homologation Engineer to join our team at Applus+ IDIADA. As a key member of our Homologation team, you will be responsible for delivering homologation activities across our existing client base, working closely with customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver homologation activities across the existing client base, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Provide expert technical support to customers, interpreting regulatory requirements and providing guidance on compliance.
  • Verify the quality of departmental documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate opportunity proposals in line with Applus+ IDIADA's technical scope, identifying potential business opportunities.
  • Identify training requirements for the team, ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Generate reports and certificates to meet client homologation requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations, findings, news, and regulations changes in the field, applying this knowledge to improve our services.

Requirements

  • Previous homologation experience in activities such as commercial vehicle approvals, passive and active safety subjects, motorcycle type approval, and GSRII subjects.
  • Knowledge of the GB Type Approval scheme is an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledgeable in regulations, technical, and safety requirements, with a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in English, with other languages an asset.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with practical knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive OEM processes, sales, engineering, and technical knowledge.
  • Commercial, costing, engineering, or programme management experience.
