Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer to join our commercial team at Currys. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing high-turnover, complex categories and leading a team of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all category supplier relationships in line with our overall commercial supplier strategy and category strategy.
  • Negotiate product ranges, cost pricing, additional terms, exclusivity, distribution, and stock availability.
  • Negotiate additional fixed and variable financial terms related to ranging, activity, and performance to maximize EBIT across the category.
  • Provide and regularly review team members' objectives, priorities, and performance via Personal Development Review and one-to-ones.
  • Support the development of the wider team to ensure we have a capable and committed team who understand their role in delivering the company vision.

Requirements

  • Substantial buying experience working within a FMCG/Fashion or Hard Goods fast-paced retailer.
  • Customer champion with excellent commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
