The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering innovative programs, services, and initiatives that foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive plans to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.
- Design and deliver innovative programs, services, and initiatives that foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the university's mission and goals.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of student programs, services, and initiatives.
- Manage and supervise a team of staff and student employees to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure the efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in student affairs, student engagement, or a related field.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering innovative programs, services, and initiatives that foster student engagement and retention.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience with budget management and financial planning.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
- Knowledge of student development theory and practice.
- Experience with program evaluation and assessment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and communities.
Frequent evening and weekend hours are required. Ability to drive university-owned vans to transport students to events. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Good manual dexterity. Ability to be mobile between workstation and other buildings on campus. Some travel is required as related to the programs in the Office of Student Engagement.
