Job Summary

We are seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Chef to provide a food and drink service in a welcoming environment for our residents and customers in our village cafe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants.
  • Operate a café/barista service in the village restaurants, serving customers using our electronic point of sale system.
  • Ensure day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene, and washing up after a food service, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Safely close down the kitchen at the end of the day, following protocols and procedures to prepare for the next day.
  • Remove waste and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to communicate with people with differing communication needs.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building rapport with residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
