About the Role
The Bridge Group Practice is seeking a skilled and experienced GP Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
- Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Manage repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
- Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies
- Clinically code data on Systm1
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into patients' healthcare records as necessary
- Direct requests for information, SAR, insurance/solicitors letters, and DVLA forms to the administrative team
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
- Action incoming emails and correspondence as necessary
- Scan patient-related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients' records
- Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty Rota
About Us
The Bridge Group Practice works within two purpose-built premises in the West and North Hull. We serve 8500+ patients and are part of the NEXUS Primary Care Network, comprising of 4 local practices.
We are a GMS practice, using Systm One as our clinical software, and are paper-light. We achieve highly in QOF and provide a range of Enhanced Services. Our inspection in 2016 was rated GOOD, and our main strengths lie in our commitment to the ideals of a traditional family practice with strong ties in our local population and good working relationships with our neighboring practices.
We have an Advanced Nurse Prescriber, a Nurse Practitioner, and two highly motivated and experienced nurses who, along with our two healthcare assistants, take care of much of our long-term conditions monitoring. The practice is fortunate in having excellent administration and reception staff at both sites.
Working Hours
17 hours per week, Mondays and Wednesdays 8am-5pm, with occasional Saturday mornings when required.
