About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Peregrine. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and products, ensuring they meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve design processes and products.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design and development, including experience with CAD tools and design software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
