Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our mechanical design team and drive excellence in engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing full mechanical design on projects of all sizes, ensuring best-in-class engineering and exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Manage Mechanical Design: Lead and manage full mechanical design on projects of all sizes, demonstrating exceptional client care and ensuring best-in-class engineering.
  2. Quality Control: Provide quality control for Mechanical Engineering projects across all offices, ensuring consistency and excellence in design.
  3. Project Cost Control: Manage project costs effectively, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Team Management: Manage both project teams and cross-functional teams within the organisational structure, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  5. Client Representation: Represent the company at client and project locations, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder management.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Experience: 6+ years building services consultancy design experience.
  3. Technical Skills: Expert user of Microsoft Office; experience with thermal modelling, energy assessment, dynamic energy modelling software advantageous.
  4. Commercial Sector Knowledge: Commercial sector knowledge and BIM experience a strong advantage.
  5. Mechanical Design Expertise: Expert knowledge and experience in the following mechanical design areas: Water Services, Heating / LTHW, HVAC, Fuel, above-ground drainage and BMS.
