We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at RVU, a leading company in the InsureTech industry. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the integration and maintenance of our cloud-based data platform, driving business growth through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory.
- Process Improvement: Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and planning for greater scalability.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and tune the performance of pipelines and queries to ensure high availability of data to the wider business.
- Data Quality and Accuracy: Work with rigour to ensure data quality and accuracy, identifying issues and their underlying causes, and clearly communicating them to stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the MI & Analytics team to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data models, liaise with business stakeholders to understand requirements for data, and communicate the status of your work in progress and planned work in daily stand-up meetings.
- Confident in ELT Processes: Confident in the use of ELT processes, data modelling, MS SQL Server/Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory, or a similar ETL orchestration tool.
- Experience in REST APIs and Programming Languages: Experience in REST APIs,.NET/Python programming languages, and the ability to work within a SCRUM agile development environment.
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
