Detailed Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician MOCH to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a Pharmacy Technician MOCH, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the pharmacy team, including data input and IT systems.
  • Assisting with the assessment and evaluation of risk associated with mental health and related psychopathology.
  • Effective communication in written and spoken English.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised Diploma or Degree in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Psychotherapy or Counselling.
  • A postgraduate qualification in one of the NICE Approved Counselling modalities.
  • Registration or Accreditation with BACP, BPC, or UKCP.
  • Current practice as a Counsellor.
Desirable Criteria

The following qualifications or experience would be advantageous:

  • Further training in a recognised model of psychological therapy.
  • Qualification or experience in providing group facilitation.
  • Qualification or suitable experience in the provision of clinical supervision.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Fully competent with data input and IT systems.
  • Experience in the assessment and evaluation of risk associated with mental health and related psychopathology.
  • Effective communication in written and spoken English.
Personal Qualities/Aptitudes

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Personal responsibility for maintaining self-care to enable safe provision of treatment in a pressurised environment.
  • Ability to maintain sustained and intense concentration in a pressurised, target-driven environment.
  • Capacity to work in situations demanding careful clinical judgement and to maximise the use of clinical supervision with planning and preparation of clinical caseload.
Car Owner/Driver

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Hold a valid driving licence and be able to use their own car for official duties when required.
