1:1 Teaching Assistant Role

About the Position

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 support to students, helping them with academic tasks and ensuring they understand the material.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest strategies, techniques, and legal requirements related to special education.

Requirements

  • Possession of a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children with autism.
