Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Substance Misuse Specialist

At Turning Point, we are committed to delivering high-quality mental health services that make a positive impact on people's lives. We are seeking a talented Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Substance Misuse Specialist.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Psychologist to work with our Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) team in Leicestershire. As a Substance Misuse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists. You will also work closely with our Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to develop and deliver psycho-social interventions for individuals on a Mental Health Treatment Requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists
  • Work closely with our Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to develop and deliver psycho-social interventions
  • Collaborate with operational colleagues to ensure the systematic governance of the Leicestershire MHTR service
  • Offer practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues and local agencies
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Registration with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Proven experience of leading and supervising clinical staff
  • Experience of working with substance misuse service users
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
