About the Role:
Hays Construction and Property is seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our assets department, you will be responsible for property inspections, risk-based assessments, and managing repair projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough property inspections to identify potential issues and risks
- Develop and implement effective repair and maintenance strategies to ensure the integrity of our properties
- Manage repair projects from start to finish, including coordinating with contractors and subcontractors
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements:
- Proven experience in repair and maintenance surveying, preferably in the social housing sector
- Strong knowledge of housing and property service maintenance and refurbishment
- Excellent budget planning and resource monitoring skills
- Ability to manage construction work, including subcontractors
- Proficiency in using IT/software to improve surveying services
- Desirable: experience with Housing Health & Safety Rating System
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary between £40,477 - £43,600 per annum (dependent on experience)
