Job Summary

Church Army is seeking a skilled Human Resources Advisor to join our small, friendly, and supportive HR team. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and support to our Centres of Mission, central services team, and conference centre and accommodation.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships between staff, line managers, and HR to deliver an effective HR service aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Work closely with managers to ensure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are integrated into their culture and practice.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practices and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to identify and implement solutions to HR-related challenges.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of key HR practices, including recruitment and retention, employee relations, and development and training.
  • Experience working in HR, with a related qualification such as CIPD.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, with a minimum of 26.25 hours per week.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary: £21, per annum / £24, per annum (FTE £30,041) per annum.
  • Pension: Church Army is an auto-enrolment pension employer.
  • Annual leave: 173.25 hours (0.7) per annum / 198 hours (0.8) per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays) (FTE is 247.5 hours = 25 days plus eight days bank holidays).
