Join our dynamic team at People First (Recruitment) Ltd as a Mandarin Fluent Foreign Exchange Trader. This role is pivotal in navigating the complexities of the financial markets while leveraging your language skills and trading expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the establishment of the necessary framework for financial market operations, which includes developing policies and procedures, conducting systems evaluations, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the implementation of a continuous trading system at the group level, enhancing cooperation protocols and optimizing transaction systems.
- Execute instructions related to FX and Commodity products from senior management, ensuring optimal market execution.
- Oversee risk exposure by utilizing financial instruments to manage interest and exchange rate risks effectively.
- Administer the cash flow and liquidity of bank accounts, engaging in interbank lending, borrowing, and dynamic FX swap transactions in line with the bank's asset-liability strategy.
- Expand and maintain trading relationships to facilitate efficient lending and borrowing at competitive market rates, ensuring daily liquidity management.
- Collaborate with various departments to drive cross-departmental marketing initiatives aimed at maximizing profitability.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in both spoken and written Mandarin and English.
- Extensive experience in international financial markets, with a strong grasp of FX and rates products.
- Background in wholesale banking, adept at utilizing treasury products for liquidity risk management.
- Strong team player, committed to contributing to departmental growth and supporting team members.
- Highly organized and productive, capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Open to new business opportunities and eager to learn and innovate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg platforms.
