Mandarin Speaking FX Trader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin speaking FX trader to join our team at First People Recruitment. As a key member of our Financial Market Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of infrastructure required for financial market business, including producing business policies and procedures, systems testing, establishing counterparties and client's database, and communicating with local regulators and the Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing 24-hour trading mechanism in the bank group level, including building cooperation procedures and optimizing relevant transaction systems.
  • Take instructions of FX/Commodity products from the Head Office and seek best execution in the market under required conditions.
  • Monitor Risk exposures, using financial market instruments to manage interest risk/exchange rate risk.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity of bank accounts, performing interbank lending/borrowing, FX swap & interest rate derivative transaction dynamically in accordance with the bank's asset-liability position.
  • Maintain and expand trading counterparties of the bank to ensure that funds can be lent out and borrowed in at reasonable market pricing to meet the requirements of daily liquidity management.
  • Actively communicate and cooperate with relevant departments in the bank to conduct cross-department marketing activities to maximize the profits of the bank.

Requirements:

  • Fluent level of Mandarin and English in speaking and writing.
  • Possess long-time experience in overseas financial market business, with deep understanding of relevant financial products in FX or rates field.
  • Experiences in wholesale banking background and be able to skillfully utilise treasury products to manage bank's liquidity risk.
  • Strong team-work awareness, able to actively make contribution to development of department and team and help members of department and team grow together.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg.
