Job Summary:

We are seeking to recruit Care Workers to join our team at Derbyshire County Council. The role involves delivering a range of tasks to clients over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week, with the main aim of promoting and maintaining clients' independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering personal care and support to clients
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as dressing and undressing
  • Preparing meals and administering medication
  • Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing
  • Supporting clients to access communal areas
  • Working alongside healthcare professionals, housing teams, families, and colleagues
  • Responding to unplanned emergencies and reporting to the designated supervisor

Requirements:

  • No previous experience is necessary, as we will provide all necessary training and support
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a three-shift rota system, including early mornings, afternoons, and waking nights
  • Enhanced rates of pay for working hours after 7pm and before 7am
