Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and Sanitize Equipment

Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china, equipment, flatware, and glassware to ensure a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.

Sort and Clean Dishes

Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware to ensure it can be put through the dish machine, and wash, rinse, and sanitize all pots and pans to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.

Maintain Kitchen Areas

Collect trash from kitchen areas, empty garbage cans, and wash and re-line with new bags; break down boxes, crates, and remove debris, and place recyclables in designated areas.

Inspect and Clean Kitchen Floors

Continuously inspect floors in kitchen areas to ensure they remain clean, dry, and clear of debris, and sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Store Equipment and Supplies

Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas, and clean and safely store all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in proper places.

Assist with Food Preparation

Assist culinary staff with food preparation as needed, and help food servers by prioritizing the washing of specified service items.

Maintain Sanitation and Safety Standards

Understand and consistently follow proper sanitation practices, including those for personal hygiene, and report all accidents, illnesses, or incidents immediately to management.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of Sanitation and Safety Procedures

Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations, and understand and consistently follow proper sanitation practices.

Communication and Teamwork

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and communicate clearly and professionally with guests, staff, and management.

Attention to Detail

Ability to maintain attention to detail and ensure that kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times to prevent any health or safety hazards.
