A&P Falmouth – Tug Engineer

We are expanding our workforce and seeking a Tug Engineer to contribute to our operations at the Falmouth facility.

Your primary responsibilities will be based in the harbour, with occasional assignments requiring travel away from port for coastal towage and related support activities. This position is ideal for individuals with seafaring experience who wish to transition to a more land-based role.

Key Responsibilities as a Tug Engineer at A&P Group:

  • Provide 24/7 coverage in a 40-hour work week to accommodate customer towage requirements.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the vessel while prioritizing safety and environmental considerations in the maintenance of all mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrate reliability and initiative, with a keen attention to detail and fluency in English.
  • Adhere to established protocols and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and manage the challenges posed by hazardous conditions and unpredictable weather.
  • ·Order machinery components and supplies for the engine room as needed.

Qualifications Required:

  • MCA Chief Engineer 3000kW (III/3) certification.
  • Completion of all STCW short courses, including the latest updates.
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
