We are expanding our workforce and are in search of a Marine Tug Engineer to contribute to our operations.

Your primary responsibilities will involve working in harbour settings, with occasional assignments requiring travel away from port for coastal towage and related support tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with seafaring experience who are eager to transition to a more land-based position.

As a Marine Tug Engineer at A&P Group, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 24/7 coverage to fulfill customer towage requirements within a standard 40-hour work week.
  • Ensuring the vessel operates efficiently and safely, while maintaining all mechanical systems onboard.
  • Demonstrating reliability and attention to detail, making informed decisions, and exhibiting a strong command of the English language.
  • Complying with established protocols and collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Maintaining composure under pressure and managing the challenges posed by potentially hazardous conditions and variable weather.
  • · Regularly ordering necessary machinery components and supplies for the engine room.

What qualifications are we seeking?

  • MCA Chief Engineer certification (3000kW, III/3).
  • Completion of all STCW short courses, including the latest updates.
  • Valid ENG1 medical certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
