Control and Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to execute all Control and Instrumentation engineering activities within our company's authority limits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects and/or packages on time, in-line with all contract specifications, achieving full client satisfaction and meeting all quality and commercial key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues.
Accountabilities
  1. Influencing others, negotiating, decision-making, and communication.
  2. Instrument datasheets, block cable diagrams, cable routing drawings, and equipment layout drawings.
  3. Cable schedules, I/O schedules, including hard and soft I/O, instrument schedules, and material take-offs.
  4. AutoCAD skills, including geometry, setup, borders, layers, and field instrument selection.
  5. Material selection, site surveys, team building, coaching, and mentoring.
  6. Motivating and inspiring, SIL verification to BS EN 61511, thermowell design, and wake calculations.
  7. P&ID development, hazardous area classification, and DSEAR, hazard study awareness, and participation.
  8. SIL determination, BS EN 61511 safety requirements specification, alarm management, and user HMI.
  9. Trip, interlock, and alarm schedules, user requirement, and functional design spec review.
  10. Fire and gas systems, Autoplant 3D modeling, analysis measurement, building services, and control system selection.
Technical Requirements
  1. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and functional standards, technology, and norms.
  2. Familiarity with all relevant systems and electronic tools and software.
  3. Full awareness and understanding of relevant legislation and standards, and their practical application.
  4. Awareness and understanding of all relevant company policies, processes, and procedures.
