Job Description: Deli Chef - Part-Time


We are seeking a passionate individual with a focus on food preparation to contribute to our team and help us deliver our fantastic food range to all of our customers. Consistency is key in this role, ensuring we maintain our high standards across our entire menu. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, a genuine interest in food, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional product every time.


As a Deli Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production at FCB Coffee. This includes preparing food items, managing food orders, displaying food attractively, collaborating with managers to determine quantities needed, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to all food hygiene and safety standards.


The ideal candidate will be fully flexible and available 2 or 3 days per week (including weekends). Working hours are approximately :00. This is a part-time role of between 12-16 hours per week, offering a great work-life balance with no late evenings.


Expectations:
  • Completion of Food Safety Level Two training.
  • Responsible for producing all necessary food items each day in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining all food hygienically and safely while adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Placing all essential orders for food production.
  • Working closely with your site manager to determine optimal food displays, quantities, and maximize food sales.
  • Controlling wastage and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and consistently high-standard kitchen.
  • Liaising with Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) when needed and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the relevant regulations.
  • Training new staff to deliver the same level of food consistency as you.
  • Communicating directly with our Head of Food to help maintain standards and maximize food profits.
  • Displaying an in-depth knowledge of our food range, including ingredients and allergen information.
