Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a leading provider of NHS services to secure environments, we are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritizing patient care and developing individualized packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning. You will deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, in both group and one-to-one settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and initiate and review individual recovery plans
  • Deliver treatment options, including medication and psychosocial interventions
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects
  • Liaise with prescribers and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD)
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Experience of working with opiate-dependent patients
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
