Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimating: Develop and manage project budgets, including tendering and procurement processes.
  • Valuations: Conduct regular valuations of project progress, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Project Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee project financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Employers Agent Duties/ Contract Administration: Manage contractual relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Procurement & Tendering: Coordinate procurement processes, including tendering and contract awarding.

Requirements

  • Member of the RICS or CIOB: Possess a recognized professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience across the whole discipline of Quantity Surveying: Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Extensive experience of completing Quantity Take-offs: Skilled in estimating and quantifying construction work.
  • Familiar with the PQS environment: Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Strong IT, communication and numerate skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Keen to develop and grow with the company: Ambitious and motivated individual looking to advance their career.
  • Based local to Poole but willing to travel to sites as required: Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed.
  • Full driving license: Possess a valid driving license.
