Job Title: Admiral Nurse

We are seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse with experience in delivering specialist dementia care to join our team as an Admiral Nurse for Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, covering the WEB area.

About the Role

As an Admiral Nurse, you will use your expert clinical knowledge and skills to enhance relationships, prevent crises, and support people to be cared for at home for as long as possible. You will provide specialist bio-psychosocial assessment and support for people with dementia and families with complex needs, facilitate education and training for staff in the delivery of evidence-based dementia care, and support with service development and quality improvements in relation to dementia care.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist bio-psychosocial assessment and support for people with dementia and families with complex needs
  • Facilitate education and training for staff in the delivery of evidence-based dementia care
  • Support with service development and quality improvements in relation to dementia care
  • Consultancy to other health and social care professionals regarding dementia
Requirements

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with the ability to balance managing a clinical caseload of families affected by dementia with complex needs, alongside developing and maintaining a service. You will be a leader in role-modelling excellent dementia care and use your skills, knowledge, and attributes to deliver training and education.
