Our client, a customer-centric financial services provider, is seeking a Risk Analyst to support the embedding of credit and financial risk management frameworks.
As a Risk Analyst, you will work closely with the business to identify, quantify, and assess risks, providing independent oversight and challenge from a risk management perspective.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare risk analysis for relevant stakeholders and committees
- Present risk data and intelligence in a clear and effective way
- Interpret data, analyze themes and trends, and communicate insights to drive business decisions
- Support the embedding of a robust risk management framework, including risk management and policy reviews
- Undertake detailed analysis of credit risk portfolio performance to identify emerging risks
- Work closely with business units, including IT, to create and automate tools for prudential risk projects
Requirements:
- Proven analysis skills with advanced Excel skills, including data, Power Query, tables, and formatting, and VBA
- ~1 year + proven experience in a risk management or data analytics role
- Experience of producing insightful analysis from data sets
- Bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, accounting, maths, science, computer science, economics)
- Some technical understanding around credit risk and broader prudential risks, with an understanding of the prudential regulatory framework
This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role, expecting 1/2 days in the Dorset office, supporting the effective risk management of the business.
The salary on offer is up to £48k, dependent on experience, and they are open to more junior candidates with just 1 year's analytics experience and some risk exposure or senior candidates with proven risk management and analytics experience.
