Job Title: Cardiac Echocardiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Echocardiographer to join our team at the Royal Brompton Hospital. As a key member of our echocardiography service, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform and report transthoracic echocardiography in adult patients
  • Contribute to the assessment and therapy provision for patients with cardiac disease
  • Measure and analyze physiological parameters, including 12 lead ECG and blood pressure
  • Interpret fundamental ECG abnormalities
Requirements:
  • BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • Echocardiography accreditation (British Society of Echocardiography level 2 or equivalent)
  • 3 years post accreditation experience in echocardiography
  • HCPC registered/eligible
  • Immediate Life Support or above
Desirable Skills:
  • Competency in strain imaging
  • Competency in 3D imaging
  • Competency in the use of ultrasound enhancing agents
  • Experience in complex pathologies in a cardiac surgery centre
