Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Care Coordinator to join our busy telephone hub team at Great North Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for answering a high volume of calls from patients, directing them to the relevant services, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently through various channels.
  • Utilize excellent computer skills to navigate through various systems, databases, and software applications to access and update patient information.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while entering customer data, updating records, and ensuring confidentiality and adherence to GDPR policy.
  • Ensure all administration is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Build rapport with patients in a consultative manner and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Process appointment requests, handle repeat prescriptions, and ensure visitors log in and out of the building.
  • Comply with GDPR Regulations and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • GCSE Grade A to C (9-4) in English and Maths.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in a patient-focused environment and administrative systems.
  • Excellent IT skills and computer knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a GP practice.
  • Ability to handle difficult and irate patients with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
