Key Responsibilities

Your primary goal is to uphold the standards of our food department, ensuring that grocery, fresh, and produce items are consistently available and presented at their best. You will report to the Lead Food Manager and be responsible for the daily management of your area, guaranteeing smooth operations.

In this role, you will:
  • Oversee a medium to large team, assigning tasks, planning breaks, and creating schedules.
  • Address performance issues with sensitivity and efficiency, while also assisting in recruitment efforts.
  • Be a visible leader on the sales floor, promoting training and fostering an inclusive environment where team members feel empowered to share ideas.

Success Metrics

Your development will be measured by:
  • Your ability to support the Lead Food Manager in achieving improved customer satisfaction and retail performance.
  • Collaboration with fellow Food Managers to share best practices and ensure seamless shift transitions.
  • Your confidence in providing constructive feedback to your team regularly.
  • Your capability to encourage your team to empathize with customers, taking pride in delivering outstanding service.
  • Your growing ability to make swift decisions and navigate challenges effectively.
