Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us accelerate the development of our 3 core product modules: Alkaline Electrolyser, Direct-Air-Capture, and Sabatier Reactor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build testing infrastructure at increasingly larger scales (10 kW - 100 kW - 1 MW -...)
  • Accelerate performance and longevity testing across all 3 systems
Design and Build Thermal and Fluid Management Solutions
  • Integrate all balance of plant operations
  • Maximise heat recovery and integration across the RNG
  • Implement low-cost and robust flow control
Design and Build Control Systems
  • Maximise plant productivity with varying solar input
  • Optimise H2 and CO2 production to maximise CH4 production rate
  • Implement complete and robust autonomous operation
Requirements
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Chemical reactor, direct-air-capture or electrolyser design and build experience (or related)
Important Qualities
  • Execution history: What have you built or designed before where you had responsibility?
  • Reasoning by first principles: Can you deconvolute complex scenarios into their foundational truths or parts?
  • Urgency: We don't have time to wait, are you comfortable with a high-degree of risk and pressure to move fast?
  • Grit: How relentless will you be despite set-backs?
