Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Specialty Doctor to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs in the Barking and Dagenham area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide comprehensive care to children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team, including direct input on clinical cases.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and work closely with other health and social professionals and agencies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Be responsible for patients allocated to you, assessing, managing, planning, and delivering care.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
  • Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
