Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatric Specialty Doctor to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance to our team, working directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaising as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals.

Job Responsibilities

As a Community Paediatric Specialty Doctor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Working directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaising as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participating in the local Child Protection rota
  • Supporting your peers and team leader, and being an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative
  • Working alongside Consultant Paediatricians, Specialist Grade Doctors, and Core Trainees within the service
  • Committing to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Mastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding
  • At least 4 years postgraduate training including community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences)
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training

This is an established post and is a substantive, full-time role. It is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.
