Job Title: General Assistant

Are you a team player with a can-do attitude? Do you have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene? We are seeking a General Assistant to join our team at Sodexo in Shetland.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to support our catering and cleaning services at Sella Ness Lodge. As a General Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping: Clean and maintain the lodge's rooms, communal areas, and facilities.
  • Catering: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including food preparation and presentation.
  • Refuse collection and recycling: Ensure that waste is collected and recycled properly.
  • Cleaning of communal areas: Clean and maintain the lodge's communal areas, including restrooms, reception, dining, laundry, and recreational facilities.
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment: Promote a safe and healthy environment for visitors and staff.
Requirements
  • Team player with a can-do attitude.
  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including hours of daily physical work.
  • Passion for health and safety.

Accommodation is provided in a single occupancy room with an en-suite bathroom and all meals included. Return transport to and from Shetland to Aberdeen is also provided.
