Senior Mental Health Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Tiverton Core Adult Mental Health Team at Tiverton Community Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and motivated team, providing high-quality comprehensive mental health services to individuals with complex mental health difficulties and their carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload, providing expert assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health problems.
  • Deliver recovery co-ordination, designing and coordinating treatment packages that are personalized and evaluated.
  • Provide statutory Adult Social Care, Care Management functions, including assessment, care planning, and reviewing.

This role requires excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to exercise risk management. You will need to be committed to the values and principles of recovery and able to deliver a safe, timely, caring, and responsive service.

Person Specification
  • A professional mental health qualification, such as RMN, Social Work Degree, or equivalent, with current registration with no restrictions.
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to the specialism.
  • Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff.
  • Evidence of leadership/management training within a core service.
