Job Title: Senior Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals with complex mental health needs. This will involve managing a defined caseload, providing expert assessment and treatment, and working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recovery principles and be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex mental health needs
  • Provide expert assessment and treatment, including recovery coordination and care planning
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement care plans that are personalized and evaluated in line with payment by results
  • Provide statutory Adult Social Care, Care Management functions (assessment, care planning and reviewing)
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a professional mental health qualification, such as a RMN, Social Work Degree, or equivalent. They will also need to have postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialism and experience of managing a complex caseload.

The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, be able to exercise clinical judgment in respect of assessing and managing risk, and be committed to the values and principles of recovery.
