About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our Assessment Technology team at AQA. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in facilitating Scrum and Scaled Agile events and ceremonies, ensuring our processes are followed by scrum teams, and inspiring a culture of trust, learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach members of scrum teams in the use of Scrum and Scaled Agile practices and values.
  • Create efficiency through the promotion of continuous process improvement.
  • Facilitate events and meetings for Agile Release Train (ART) events and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Drive Product Increment (PI) planning to ensure the near-term roadmap is clearly defined.
  • Drive PI execution, managing performance, tracking, and communicating progress.
  • Drive Scrum of Scrums meetings to ensure all product delivery teams are aligned.
  • Escalate impediments, manage risk, and drive delivery improvement.
  • Remove impediments and act as a safeguard for the scrum teams.
  • Regularly assess the Scrum Maturity of the teams and coach them to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Knowledge of Essential SAFe, PI Planning, and Agile Release Train.
  • Certified Scrum Master (essential).
  • Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps, teams, work items, backlogs, queries, dashboards, sprints, etc.
  • Software development lifecycle.
  • Personal Attributes: high standard of written and oral communication, excellent organisational skills, relationship building skills, and assertiveness.
