About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Consultant to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class clinical service to patients with skin conditions, including skin cancer and advanced skin surgery.
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other support staff.
- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with the highest ethical standards and in line with Trust policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other clinical specialties and contribute to postgraduate teaching and research.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and a minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent).
- Wide knowledge and experience in dermatology, including skin cancer and advanced skin surgery.
- Previous NHS experience and experience of teaching and training.
- Audit participation and a commitment to clinical governance.
