Dermatology Consultant

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Dermatology Surgeon to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality clinical service, leading a team of staff, and contributing to the development of our surgical and Mohs micrographic surgery service.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a comprehensive service covering all aspects of dermatology, with a special interest in skin cancer and advanced skin surgery. You will be required to work closely with our existing consultants to develop and maintain a high-quality service, and to contribute to the teaching and training of junior staff.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in dermatology, with experience in advanced skin grafts and flaps, and Mohs training. You will need to be eligible for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or CCT within 6 months of interview, and have a minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent). Previous NHS experience and experience of teaching are also essential.
