Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Operative is responsible for delivering comprehensive support and executing a variety of tasks. This role primarily focuses on cleaning duties, complemented by additional responsibilities such as basic maintenance, handling deliveries, and assisting with general site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of all internal spaces, including offices, restrooms, laboratories, and kitchens.
  • Carry out general service tasks as required, such as installing notice boards, conducting weekly shower flushes, and maintaining records for auditing purposes.
  • Ensure that maintenance standards and quality of work meet the established requirements.
  • Receive, sort, document (as necessary), and distribute mail and packages on-site.
  • Assist in addressing customer inquiries related to outstanding tasks or deliveries.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role is required.
  • A valid UK Driving License is necessary for this position.
