Team Overview:
The Anti-Piracy Team operates under the General Counsel's Office, dedicated to safeguarding Springer Nature's content and assets from piracy on a global scale. The team is strategically positioned in key locations to address this critical issue.
Role Purpose:
- Oversee the collection and creation of periodic and custom Anti-Piracy reports.
- Utilize data insights to deepen understanding of piracy's impact on the organization.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through best practices.
- Support specific business areas and manage targeted anti-piracy investigations.
- Contribute to the company's content protection initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance the Anti-Piracy Hive intranet pages and departmental communications.
- Collaborate with the Head of Global Anti-Piracy to design and execute the annual Global Anti-Piracy Strategy.
- Facilitate cross-training with other team members to ensure operational continuity.
- Timely compilation and generation of departmental reports related to anti-piracy efforts.
- Analyze data from various sources to provide insights on piracy trends.
- Develop and refine reports for diverse audiences, focusing on efficiency and relevance.
- Create and manage internal dashboards for real-time tracking of key metrics.
- Engage with business partners to ensure reports meet their needs.
- Manage the Anti-Piracy Hive communications and liaise with senior management as needed.
- Assist in complex investigations and lead when appropriate.
- Support the Head of Global Anti-Piracy in the design and review of anti-piracy strategies.
- Facilitate training programs related to anti-piracy initiatives.
- Participate in industry meetings and contribute to relevant discussions.
Internal:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Consult with internal and external partners to align solutions with business objectives.
- Work closely with the Anti-Piracy Investigations Manager to ensure timely handling of inquiries.
- Engage with the internal legal team for optimal legal guidance on investigations.
- Coordinate with third-party services and copyright protection teams.
- Engage with trade bodies and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
- Extensive background in anti-piracy, intellectual property, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data management and reporting.
- Established connections within anti-piracy and enforcement sectors.
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of new media technologies and their implications for content protection.
- Knowledge of intellectual property laws and internet infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across various levels.
- Relevant training or qualifications in anti-piracy or data management.
- Familiarity with programming languages and data analysis tools is advantageous.
