A Typical Day

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting our pupils' educational and personal development.

Working closely with our teaching team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impression and impact on the lives of our pupils, supporting them as they overcome challenges and reach their goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities to support pupils in making progress towards their agreed accreditations.
  • Support teachers with the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning opportunities.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
  • Assist pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times, or with personal care.

  • A qualification in English & Maths.
  • The ability to relate well to pupils and build positive and respectful relationships that are on a professional level.
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • The ability to show initiative.
  • The ability to offer personal care in a respectful way.
