We are seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join our in-house property team at JS Legal Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and running your own case load of plot sales, including part-exchange acquisitions and releases.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting to the company Solicitor heading the Plot Team
- Direct responsibility for managing and running your own case load of plot sales
- Preparing individual plot documentation and part-exchange title reports
- Building relationships with purchaser's solicitors, and the Group Legal Department and regional operating companies
- Attending meetings with the sales team to review caseload
- Dealing with post-completion matters such as SDLT returns and land registration where necessary
- Advising and assisting on issues which arise during plot sales and part-exchange transactions
- Dealing with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales
- Dealing with the recovery of retentions (Non-litigious)

- Carrying out AML checks
- Experienced and motivated Conveyancer or Fee Earner with a sound knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice and procedure
- Qualification through the Institute of Legal Executives, Council of Licensed Conveyancers or to at least degree level in law would be an advantage
- Previous experience of handling plot sales for a residential house builder (either in-house or in private practice) would be a distinct advantage
- Ability to work with modern computer-based technology
- Self-motivated, adaptable, with good team and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
