About the Role

Mindfully Wired is seeking a highly skilled and experienced communications professional to join our Science & Policy team. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality communications and events for a range of projects focused on marine management, fisheries, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of events-centred projects, managing all aspects of client business, from developing and executing communications and events strategies to maintaining strong client relationships and project management.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building relationships and managing the delivery of work among the internal team.
  • Plan, design, and deliver online and in-person events for diverse projects relating to fisheries and the marine environment.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs, including conference reports, policy briefs, briefing documents, conference agendas, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Copyedit and proofread a diverse range of materials.
  • Develop and implement bespoke communications and social media strategies and content, maintaining communications channels for clients.
  • Develop the copy for infographics and visual communications materials based on reports and academic papers.
  • Understand the importance of client service and profitability, working within budget boundaries.
  • Experience planning and delivering high-quality in-person, online, and hybrid events, including agenda design and logistics organisation.
  • Proven experience in leading projects.
  • Top-notch organisational skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects and tasks while maintaining high standards.
  • Confidence in using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Previous knowledge of fisheries, seafood, or marine conservation issues.
